It wasn’t an easy balancing act. The look of relief on his face after she forgave him had been so heartwarming. She knew when she saw it that she had made the right decision. Throwing away a relationship with such a wonderful man because he had made a goodhearted mistake would be ridiculous. No one was perfect all of the time. And she loved the way he had asked if he could hold her hand—the gesture had been respectful and sweet. Now, as they walked along in contented silence, his index finger stroking the inside of her palm, her thoughts went from sweet to sultry.
