She must have been on the phone with Paige because she was freaking out about how much trouble she could get in if anyone found out I was in her basement. Well no fucking shit! Did she think that I hadn’t thought about the same things? If I got caught, I’d be going straight to the county jail to await trial. There’s no way they’d set a bail amount for me that anyone would be able to come up with. That didn’t really matter anyway. Those fucking Aces have so many people going in and out of county, I’m sure I’d be dead within the first week. That’s why setting this shit right was so important to me. I’d never even make it to my fucking trial. Even if they put me in solitary, they’d still find some way to get to me. I was just settling down on the couch to check out the news on my laptop when the chick who owned the place started coming down the stairs. I wanted to say something about announcing herself but then I realized it’s her fucking house and she can go wherever she wants.
