This is a book that shows that you don't have to be the same as your siblings. This story is about a family from Salt Lick who rides bulls for a living.Cam O'Mara is more interested on getting tricks on his skateboard more then bull riding. His whole family are bull riders and cam isn't one he has a older brother named Ben that is a marine and was deployed to Iraq.He was known for his bull riding. He was the best in his town and known for it. When he came back he went right back on bull and it was like he never went to Iraq. Later on Cam rode a bull and his mother figured out and talked to him about it. At first he didn't want to admit to it. Later on in the story Ben got hurt from a bull and his families thanksgiving wasn't the same the same. I would recommend this book to others that love rodeo events such as bull riding and family stories. I was thrilled to win a copy of this book. Before joining the Marines, Cam's older brother, Ben, had been a bull riding champion. When Ben returns from the war in Iraq with major injuries, Cam has a difficult time adjusting to the change in his older brother. This heart wrenching story has interesting details about ranch life and bull riding that as a wife of a cattle rancher I enjoyed. It's a good read for all ages.
Such a great modern historical fiction book! This one I might read again! Great for MS/HS & adults.
