A grip of terror smacked him, coming from Lani, and he reached for her, but she backed away from him, staring at her own golden skin, and the green swath that cut a path around her wrists. “I told you, you have to claim her,” Zolin said, not turning around. He put one big hand on the rock and paused. “You weren’t going to do right by her.” “Who says I wasn’t?” Tomás narrowed his eyes.
