3.5 stars I found this book sort of boring it started very high-speed and very energetic but going on it just became a little bit more boring succumbs it was a great book but not my favorite by Carolyn but if you find that time period entertaining then go for it if you are slightly intrigued however I would recommend reading other books by her first and grasping her writing style first before attempting this book Honestly after the first chapter I was like, 'well that was confusing and I'm not sure what happened and I don't really want to keep reading'. I did though because I don't like not finishing books - even if I did JUST start it. I'm glad I didn't stop reading it. I thought it was really interesting and I learned a lot about Cleopatra. I liked the relationships that Meyer created and they really helped keep the story interesting. *Applaud* to Ms. Meyer for creating a very interesting story out if only a few facts that are known for certain. I did think the ending was a but rushed but the author's note and the other resources in the back helped clear it up and I didn't mind the rushed ending as much.
