Maybe this time she was so preoccupied with falling in love with someone that she forgot to watch her own back. Whatever it was, Rick caught every one of us off guard. We’re at the apartment right now and I’m packing a bag of things for Delilah. I should be happy, she’s alive – broken, but not destroyed. As I shove underwear and her iPod into her carry-on, I can’t help but tear up.
