Davy Hunter reminded himself of that fact for the umpteenth time as he met the cool blue eyes that gazed back at him from the rearview mirror of the police cruiser. It wasn’t as though he’d made a lifetime commitment. This was just two months out of his life. Eight weeks. Sixty days. Not so very different from working as an office temp, the law enforcement world’s equivalent of a Kelly Girl. If he got lucky, he’d coast through the entire two months. This was, after all, Serenity.
