Chloe’s hands flew up above her head as she tried to find some way to express her frustration. “I sort of forgave him and I’ve persuaded him to tell me everything when I speak to him next.” Okay, so I was bending the truth slightly but it was the only way I was going to convince Chloe, not that I needed her approval, I kept reminding myself. It was a warm, sunny Saturday and with only a few weeks left of term we were all finally free to do what we liked, and this meant meeting up in the park.
