Not a bad story but it slowed down a lot about 3/4 of the way through. I liked the concept of the story and the pacing was good too. I found the way the story was broken up to be a good idea. I like that the author broke things up in each chapter and did not spend a TON of time describing everything. The scenes were built well and I found the action to be well written. As I said, it did slow down towards the end and the ending was a bit anti-climactic for me. I may pick up the Alexander Cipher from the library but I will not be purchasing it.If you like The DaVinci Code you may like this book. One more thing, the characters were good but somewhat one dimensional and that took away from the story in a few ways. It's okay...was kind of slow moving at first. There's a lot of characters to keep track of. This creates some good tension later on in the book, but early on it is hard to keep people straight. The premise is I there sting, although not convincing. It does come across as very anti-religious, making pastors and Christians in general out to be evil people. In that regards, it goes a bit further than Dan Brown's books, but overall it felt very similar to one of his novels.
What do You think about Die Jagd Am Nil (2000)?
This book was also published as the Moses Quest. Entertaining and fast paced.
