I enjoyed this book. I usually don't like books like this, but I am more than glad that I read it. The story was wonderful, I wasn't able to guess what was going to happen at all (a rarity for me). I loved how it seems so original and different from any other science fiction book. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I'm looking to get my hands on the 3rd and 4th and continue with the story! I enjoyed the Retrieval Artist series by Kristine Kathryn Rusch, although I found that the first book was mostly setup. So, I thought I'd give this other series a try, although I tried not to expect too much. But I found Diving the Wreck to be mostly annoying. While aspects of the plot were interesting, I found the first person present tense to be wearing and annoying after a while. I also found significant plot points to stretch credulity too far. I was hoping for some good space opera from the point of view of someone who investigates wrecked spaceships, and I was quite disappointed.
What do You think about Diving Into The Wreck (2009)?
Intriguing! Really enjoyed it, but Kris's stories are always fascinating.
