Two novellas in one book and FUN with a capital F!The First Novella "Thief of Hearts" is about an E.R. doctor named Dr. Jared Dean and Kara - who is better known on the streets as The Avenging Angel. They have a chance encounter and their lives become entwined in a screwball "it can only happen in a book" way. Lot's of fun, lots of actual laughing out loud, and just enough heat with the loving to make a girl need a cool drink of water. On a side note - I love how MaryJanice Davidson will switch traditional roles in her books (he is the nurturing doctor - she is the kick-ass thief) and her use of humor always makes me smile. AWESOME!The second and shorter novella "Wild Hearts" takes place a few years later and catches us up with a couple of characters that had bit parts in the first novella. It was a fun little romp - and a nice way to tie up the book. I wouldn't mind more authors doing this actually. I often find myself wondering what happened to this character or that character after reading a book - so it was quite enjoyable to actually find out!And as I say in almost every review of MaryJanice Davidson - I will read anything she writes. Love her!
