I have to stop trying to read these "jewish" books, lower case 'j' intentional.I hope you all know that thru assimilation, the same number of Jews have disappeared as were killed in the Holocaust.I only hope that non Jews who read this book don't think that this book represents anything going on in Ultra-orthodox Israel.the members of ZAKA DO NOT wear their black coats and hats when they work, by the way. Google it.The family gathering to watch TV news on Moetzei Shabbat? ????? What TV? This book is a wonderful look not only into modern archeology but into the magic of love and its ability to change one and all. While we follow Clare into her exploration of the mysteries of her dig, we soon learn the true heroine is Anatiya. She takes over the story with her beautiful words and fierce devotion and no one within her spear of influence is immune. How refreshing to see a woman in Ancient Isreal, where women had little power, to dominate even a prophet.
I was so captivated by this book and never wanted to put it down!!Well Done Zoe Klein!! :-)
