She’d had a pretty little garden planted on the other side of their chambers where a window already sat so he would have something else to look at besides the lake of fire. “Are they getting along?” She asked, sliding out of her robe to slink across the room on bare feet. She wrapped her arms around him and pressed her cheek against his back. Lucifer glanced at her from over his shoulder with a sigh. “Not really. Right now they’re arguing about who the twins look more like—me or you?” With a wry grin, she peered around him. Her parents, Phenex and Lyssa, held her son in their arms, while Medusa and Hades held their daughter. Their children were the perfect blend of their parents, with butterscotch complexions and silver eyes, both of which had a tendency to turn a crimson shade when they got excited. And at that moment, their one year old twins were both starting to take on a scarlet tinge, seemingly fascinated by Medusa’s serpentine hair and apparently oblivious to the heated argument going on around them.
