. 14 ‘Let’s go out for half an hour!’ insisted Tam. ‘Twice round the park! I could do with some fresh air!’ ‘But I’ve been in the fresh air all day!’ I wailed. It was no use. Tam switched off the music, grabbed me by the arm and practically frogmarched me downstairs. We peered into the sitting room. Mum and Dad were watching the news. ‘We’re going for a walk – two circuits of the park!’ announced Tam. Mum looked up with a delighted smile. I knew what she was thinking.
