I recently read Ranger's Apprentice: Halt's Peril. This book is about Will, the Ranger every book in the series follows, and his ex- mentor Halt, along with their friend Horace, the knight. The heroes have stopped the cult known as the a Outsiders in nearby Hibernia. The power- hungry evil- doers have turned their eyes on the mighty kingdom of Araleun. Halt, Will, and Horace set off to catch them and protect their homeland. The three Araleuns track the Outsiders for a long way, but the Outsider's assassins come back to delay them. My favorite part was when the rangers and Horace protect an Araleun farm from Scotti invaders. If you like adventure, you'll like this book. To start I loved this book. I have read all of the Rangers Aprentice books up to the 8th. I thought this book had great diolouge, very suspencful, and well written. John Flanagan dd a great job at discrimination the charecters feelings and making it easy for you to see the picture in your head. Like I said before this was a great book. Three charecters Halt, Will, and Hoars set out to stop this evil religious cult. They call themselves the "Outsiders". They have been terrorizing towns all throughout the land and it is now the threes turn to stop them.I would recommend this book to people who like historical fiction, the Hunger Games, or is in grades 5-7.
What do You think about Halt's Peril (2009)?
This is one of the best in the series. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Definitely recommend it.

The finale to the two part stab at religion. It was a flop.
