I let the water out to run down the drain and grab the towel that hangs on the wall. I’m so exhausted from crying I don’t have the energy to dry myself off. With water dripping off of my hair and body, I open the door and there stands Evan, tall, dark, and dangerous. He’s dangerous for me in this moment. I want to connect, but this is going to end badly. Badly is the only way this can end. “Abby?” His warm hand reaches up to my face. “Are you ok? I heard you crying.” “What do you care Evan? Isn’t there a hot, dark-haired woman at the club you would rather talk to?” Ok so I’m totally being a bitch. He was only talking to her and we had a great time after and he isn’t my man. I’m just being sensitive I guess. “Abby, there isn’t anyone anywhere that I want more than I want you right now. In this moment I could go to my room and cry until I can’t breathe or I can live for the now. Live in it with this beautiful man. As soon as he sees the broken crumbling Abby he will leave.
