I can't give a toss reading about the excesses and stupid behaviours of celebrities in tabloids so, having to go through it in a whole book was frankly annoying. I though I would here follow Rodman's rebound and struggle to get back into the NBA. Instead I had to waste my time going through his over the top sex life, boozing, overall partying and, mostly, his turbulent and complicated relationships with his wives and girlfriends. Did I care? No! In fact, I was truly disappointed, especially since I have a lot of sympathy for the man -for a athlete he's a clever free spirit, and I always had respect for him on an off the court. But here! His punchy wit and sharpness is all gone if not for the last few chapters where -at long last!- he interestingly focuses on basketball and fame. The rest, no kidding, is all about a drunk lost guy telling you how a party can go wrong! Seriously, forget that rubbish (unless you like the kind of stuff tabloids are made of) and read 'Bad As I Wanna Be' instead -it's way more sensitive, sharp, clever and, focused on basketball! Good to know he made it through though.
