It's All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good And Feel Great (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I've been dipping into this cookbook for months now. Clearly Gwyneth Paltrow has a healthy love affair with food, and the recipes do not disappoint. I suppose the only downside would be the high cost of some ingredients and lack of availability locally. I tend to substitute with alternative ingredients instead of internet ordering.Still, I use the recipes regularly... they are delicious and great for those of us with food-allergies. Picked this book up at the library on a whim and enjoyed reading through most of it. I am perplexed why an academy award winning actress, wife of a rock star, and the girlfriend of Iron Man would need to include so many photos of herself in what looks to be an effort to get a job modeling for Ralph Lauren. But, back to content . . . I do not eliminate any food from my diet but have been considering the idea for a while now as I have pretty consistent pain in my digestive system. Paltrow eliminates gluten, sugar, and dairy in most of these recipes and this seems like a good place to start. The only recipe I tried was the avocado/Veganaise/sea salt/Ezekiel bread - it was delicious and simple. I may return to this book when I get the fortitude to go gluten-free. As other reviewers mentioned, it's hard for me to put myself into the same category as the uber-wealthy. Paltrow has access to things (help) that I just don't, so is it possible for me to really shop/cook/eat in a way similar to her? I'm not sure that's in the cards for me right now. It is a lovely book, however, and she does present a healthy way to eat.
