I borrowed this book from a friend. It was somewhat technical, and I have no idea if it could be scientifically proved. I guess it would be a great start-up 'diet' for people who need a complete change in their eating habits and who liked meat and eggs - two things I don't eat a lot of anymore. It reminds me a lot of the Atkins Diet - basically, all you can eat is protein and vegetables with a little fruit, something I already do. This book and the Whole9 lifestyle has changed my life in a good way! The book doesn't just tell you how to eat, but it explains why to eat that way. A lot if great scientific info if that interests you, but they also tell you where to skip ahead to if it doesn't. So far I have lost 18lbs and am continuing to lose weight, but it's not just about losing weight. I suffer from Fibromyalgia and other conditions, my Fibro is way better, I have more energy and overall my body just feels better. I used to be SAD (Standard American Diet), too much processed foods, didn't eat hardly any veggies, too much sugar. Now I'm eating veggies, good fats, good protein and some fruit, I feel satisfied at every meal, not going hungry like a lot of diets. I highly recommend this book!

Picked it up because I'm doing the Whole30 and figured I should read the book behind it.

Good concept and may work for some people.....difficult to accomplish though.
