Not sure what to say about The Roots of the Olive Tree . The title intrigued me, then five generations of women caught my eye, not much after that gave me that love this book feeling. All the women had positive and negatives but the positives seemed stilted while the negatives were sad to almost making me dislike them and being unable to get around the positives before the end of the book my favorite character was a baby. This book that told the story of many generations peaked my interest. The author was new to me. I thought it be more difficult to keep the generations straight, but this author made it easy to follow. I enjoyed the bits of history about olives that were sprinkled throughout the book. This book had some stand-on-their-own-feet characters. If the author does write another book, I plan to try and read it.
Disappointed with the ending. No resolution and fell flat. Bummer.

Kind of slow so far, I hope it picks up
