Damn it. She slowed down, putting on her blinker and pulled off the road. She did not need this. She was in a hurry. As impatient as she felt, she couldn’t help but feel a thrill of attraction as she saw the Sheriff emerge from the car, his short blond hair glinting in the sunlight before he placed his hat on. He calmly, slowly walked toward her. Callie jumped from the car impatiently.
