This book was funny, down to earth, and since I am 100% Italian, I could just picture all of the things that happened and the way that Victoria's "Nonna" reminded me SO much of my younger days with my Grandmother! The author worded this story so well that you could actually picture yourself in the restaurant, New Jersey, and "see" the characters! I came across this book in a Goodwill store and I must tell you it was one of my better deals! I cannot wait for the second in the series, Wedding Soup Murder to come out! Making ALL of those meatballs IS really a chore, but , OH is the soup worth it!! Keep up the good work Rosie, I loved this book!! It sure made me laugh, and I needed that!! Murder and Marinara is a fun, cozy mystery, delivering exactly what it promises. The characters are engaging, the storyline entertaining, and the mystery kept me guessing right up to the end. The motivation for the amateur sleuth is good -- not just nosiness, which I don't like -- though I hope she starts to work with the police (not against them) more in future books. And I am looking forward to reading those books!
