OUTSTANDING illustrations. Love, love, love them! Excellent color, composition, and expression. I need to see more of her work! The story is familiar but just fine (the sequence where Tulip and Violet, ansty with waiting, hug and nearly nearly lick the fruit is great) but clonks down into telling-not-showing didacticism in the last few pages. The illustrations are 5 stars, the text is 3 stars until the ending, which is 1 star.
