Perfect Sense (Perfect Series Book 1) - Plot & Excerpts
She’s been screaming in my ear for the past fifteen minutes along with every other crazy fan watching the ice hockey game on the rink in front of us. I am trying my hardest to enjoy it, despite that I’m sandwiched between an overeager puck bunny baring her midriff and my horny sister who keeps squishing her face against the glass separating us from the ice. She squeals with delight and looks back at me when two of the players’ slam against the boards in front of us, tangling their sticks before clearing the puck. Whenever a push turns into a shove or a player happens to be inches away from our section, cheers and claps echo up into the rafters and fill the fifteen-thousand-seat stadium with an absurd amount of noise. I scowl every time I get jabbed from behind or another rowdy hockey nut sways a little too close into my personal space. It isn’t that I dislike hockey. Hell, I grew up surrounded by it. I loved watching our father, Hilton Ashby, ex-National Hockey League goaltender guard his net.
