Discovered this book to be surprisingly heartwarming and interesting. I found myself growing attached to the characters and looking forward to the "knitting circles" at Hennie's house. The intricate stories interwoven with Hennie's and Nit's lives were at times humorous and at others tragic. Sandra Dallas knows how to weave a fascinating plot, and I was quite satisfied with the resolution at the end of the story. Prayers for Sale by Sandra Dallas. A friend recommended this title and I really enjoyed the read. Dallas' novel sets readers in mining country but instead of the usual story, it features a strong female protagonist who against the odds carves out a new life for herself. The book has several layers and I found myself eagerly waiting for the Hennie's next story to be told. A gifted storyteller, Hennie weaves her lessons in order to forge a better life for her friends. Readers will find themselves rooting for the characters and hoping that they can rise above their circumstances and persevere.
Great story, a little slow at times, but I enjoyed the story and learning about Colorado history.

Loved this book! Read kind of like a collection of short stories. Very down to earth
