What a neat way to teach the alphabet with words not always used at a young age. A love for words, and a chance to build a grand vocabulary for any young child. Certainly a great gift for a boy since a lot of the words were aimed at objects a boy might use. Lots of abc books use a is for apple, why not a is for anvil?? Some of the words were tricky to say and would be very fun to listen to a small child try to say them. Hip hip hooray for the celebration of words! I saw this in my Amazon recommendations, and just could not resist. A Steampunk ABC book, I had to have it. I was so glad when it finally loaded as it was on pre-order. This is such a cool book. It's a simple ABC in essence, but every illustration is worthy of framing and placing on your wall. I love that the words are not your typical ABC book. My toddler adored this book from the first read and I am so glad we happened upon it.
