Or two and a half stars. I didn't mind the long lead time into the murder, I was enjoying the characters, but I did think the end was rushed and a bit confused, with one character apparently revealled as the murderer but Daisy possibly being called to testify at a different character's trial - or was that a typo, or did the different character need to stand trial for something else other than the murder? I'm not usually confused by the delightful Daisy, so I suspect that this is just one of those books in long and very popular series that might have benefited from a longer editing process... Another exciting adventure with Daisy Dalrymple Fletcher. I enjoyed this one. It was a fun read with a few plot twists and good red herrings in the mystery. There was never a question that Daisy's adventures are not literary classics, they never purport to be so, but still they are fun and why read something if you don't enjoy it? A good fun adventure that is a diversion from real life for a while is all I really want from my books; and Daisy delivers.
What do You think about Sheer Folly A Daisy Dalrymple Mystery (2000)?
Not her best, but I like the characters and setting of this mystery series.
