Sherlock Holmes And The Needle’s Eye:The World's Greatest Detective Tackles The Bible's Ultimate Mysteries (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I bought this on a three dollar whim thinking that while I love Sherlock Holmes, and I love theology, and I love time traveling, the "tricombination" could only result in a cheesy and progressively bad book. I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. it was humorous, refreshing, and at times insightful. I quite enjoyed it and not only plan on passing it along for someone else to chuckle at, but will probably reread it a few times proving that I actually did enjoy it. three dollars well spent indeed! I'm really on the fence about rating this book. I purchased it last year, after seeing several good reviews of it. I wanted to like it more than I really did. Don't get me wrong, it was a decent book, a nice idea for Holmes and Watson to travel back through time to Biblical times to try to solve Biblical mysteries. Maybe it was the writing, or the more authentic sounding dialogue, but I really struggled to get through this one. Maybe it was just me, and being the moody reader that I am, I just wasn't in the mood for this right now. On to the next book!

Good content. Deff a study-not an adventurous read. Would be perfect for weekly studies, tho.

OK If you want to use as a bible study. Holmes and Watson are not very accurate characters.
