Skinny Bitch Bun In The Oven: A Gutsy Guide To Becoming One Hot (and Healthy) Mother! (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
These two skinny bitches are so wonderful that I could not resist picking up this book. About a year ago I read “Skinny Bitch” and it changed the way I thought about food. I was interested in going vegan and this book gave me the shove I needed to never look back. This book is written for the pregnant woman, and I again was interested in what Rory and Kim had to say about how healthy it was to eat a vegan diet while pregnant. I found the first half of the book almost verbatim from “Skinny Bitch” but the second half goes into the specifics of eating a healthy diet while pregnant and breastfeeding. This was inspirational, yet not all-encompassing, so although I would not shy away from suggesting this book to reader’s looking for a book about vegan diets during pregnancy I would also suggest they supplement this book with another.Appeal Notes (May contain spoilers):Genre: Health & PregnancyPacing: LeisurelyTone: Spunky, angry and informativeWriting Style: Fast and aggressiveComments: This was an inspirational kick to stay the vegan track during pregnancy, but lacks in information. I would recommend patrons that pick this book also pick up another more comprehensive book. This book was funny, it made me laugh, so that's something in itself. But I'm vegetarian, not vegan, and I don't intend to become vegan, and I found their view a little hard line in that regard - if you're not vegan you're filling your body full of crap. Still full of lots of good information, well researched and generally enjoyable. It will stay on my shelf for those "get a hold of yourself!" moments ;-)

I marked this as read, but really I barely skimmed it. The parts I read were terrible.

Pretty negative book about food. Hard to read information but funny at least.
