What was going on? Was it because of the missing spellbooks and the fact that spells couldn’t be performed? It seemed as if it was something more than that. Tom and I arrived at the café. We got out of the car and I unlocked the door for us. “You’re fidgeting,” Tom said when we stepped inside. “Yeah, well, I’m nervous about meeting with the Organization.” I straightened my shirt and smoothed down my hair. I hoped I looked okay. “There’s no need to be nervous. They won’t bite you.” I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t think they like me much.” Tom didn’t deny it. “They’re just doing their job,” he said as I paced. Tom pulled out a chair and sat down. Then he motioned to me. “Why don’t you have a seat and relax?” I whipped around and looked at him. “Okay, then why don’t you have a seat?”
