4th book in a series. Read this one for the Endeavour Award. I'm guessing its a classic murder mystery set on a train - sure to be an homage to something - the only thing I've ever heard of is Murder on the Orient Express. Except that it's a galactic train with aliens. An okay read and not requiring of having read the previous books, which is good cause I hadn't. But I feel no need to go back and read them either. Interesting but not noteworthy. 3.5 of 5 The whole thing takes place on a train. Sounds boring, like a movie that takes place on a bus that can't slow down, or it all takes place on an airplane. No wait, those did work. And so did this one.Although you could probably pick this up and read it by itself, it would lose a lot of its power. It takes advantage of its history, and does it well.It moves along at a good clip. A good Sci-Fi mystery.
A classic Timothy Zahn story. It has imagination, appeal, and an intriguing plot.

Not the best Quadrail story, but a good train mystery nonetheless.

Excellent story. Great twist at the end (as is usual for Zahn.)

I think this was my favorite of the Quadrail series so far.
