The Encyclopedia Of Country Living, 40th Anniversary Edition (1977) - Plot & Excerpts

Fantastic read, full of great information on how to do exactly what the title suggest... Country Living. This book will take your from identifying and purchasing a plot, to identifying plants, animals and natural resources that will help you to live off the land, to using & preserving your stores. Great for anyone who is interested in actually doing or just wanting to appreciate the processed, easy living crap of Modern Day life. Fantastic reference and worthy of all collections. While I didn't read all of this, I look forward to reading it all in the future. This is a great reference book on all things country and all things farm. I learned about growing wheat to growing mushrooms, from delivering a baby myself to what to look for in a land purchase. Unfortunately it was unrenewable at the library, so I had to turn it in before I got to the chapters on chickens and cows. But I'd love to have this sitting on my shelves!
