He had big plans of eating his way through an extra-large cheese pizza, but while his appetite was still there, exhaustion took precedent over waiting for delivery. Being out of the ring so long left him spent. Domenic’s right hand had improved, and the tips and training Trevor had given him since he’d been sidelined were starting to pay off. Despite the exhaustion it felt good to be back, and admittedly he had a lot of catching up to do, which included stealing a few extra hours of sleep. He planned to stay awake long enough to see Chelsea, then hit the sack. Nothing was going to take him away from his pillow time, not even the hour-long wait for a pizza delivery from Leoni’s. Ten minutes passed and a knock rapped on the door. He peeled himself off the sofa. He knew it was Chelsea. She was probably checking in since she didn’t stay long at the gym. The thought of seeing her sent his pulse racing, and he had to calm himself before he opened the door.
