The Manhattan Projects #1 (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
Whoa, I did not care for this at all. First off, the art is just not my cup of tea. Either commit to a haphazard inking style or commit to a more polished inking style; mixing and matching the two is just plain ineffective. Second of all, I could see the "twist" coming a mile away, and rolled my eyes so hard I may have strained them. THE EVIL TWIN THING HAS BEEN DONE THOUSANDS OF TIMES BEFORE, PEOPLE. Last, for my personal taste, the darkness and graphic violence was extremely jarring and unsettling, which isn't always my thing. Decent writing overall, but I'm not planning to continue reading the series. I enjoyed The Manhattan Projects, it was a fun read with an original storyline and really colorful and sometimes twisted characters based on real 20th century scientists. My one gripe is that at times it sort of felt like the story went out of it's way to be awesome and strange, like it was trying really hard to fit a certain demographic. But maybe that's just me trying to take a fun story too seriously.I look forward to continuing this series.
