The Super Hungry Dinosaur (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Good for preschool storytime. Might be a bit scary at first (the dinosaur threatens to eat everybody) but it all works out in the end. The hero of the story, Hal, is fast and clever and outwits the dinosaur, then gives him dinner so he doesn't have to eat anyone after all. This book is full of action and just a bit of crude humor. The art is simple crayon drawings that youngsters would be happy to copy. It is a great book for science activity. Martin Waddell had a non-scary dinosaur book. A little brave boy Hal stands up to a Super Hungry dinosaur that was always always hungry. This Super Hungry dinosaur that has threaten to eat him, his parents and his dog Billy. The boy refuse for this dinosaur take away all that Hal loved. The dinosaur had made a mess in the backyard so Hal and billy chase dinosaur and tight him on the tree. The dinosaur had to realize what he did wrong, so the dinosaur had to clean his mess. Then the dinosaur had to clean up and the mother feed the dinosaur with spagetti. Learning Experience: The teacher will have an activity kit of dinosaur bones for the children can be able to get them together. The children need to use protective glasses, gloves, plastic hammer, microscope lens and little shovel to remove the bones from the sand as they are experiencing a mystery to find bones under sand.
