To Honor You Call UsH. Paul Honsinger Once again aliens are trying to kill the human race. This time it is the year 2315 and the main character, Max Robichaux, is ordered to leave his old ship USS Emeka Moro where he is first or second in command. He is moved to the Cumberland, a ship that has the worst combat record in the whole fleet. The Cumberland had a battle or two, but they turned around and ran. The crew scores are above average and some of the people on this ship helped design it. Max’s order was to take the ship behind enemy lines. When Max got on the Cumberland the ship looked brand new, everything was polished. The floor panels looked like they were replaced every two or three months. Later on Max sees that there a lot more problems than the ship being more clean than combat ready. Extraordinaria. Mi comentario es aplicable a los dos primeros libros de la serie "Man of War".Encuentro gran riqueza, profundidad y desarrollo de los personajes principales, y en muchos de los secundarios, que es poco usual en novelas militares de ciencia ficción. Hasta los personajes no humanos tienen personalidad y comportamiento específicos, en concordancia con el entorno de su especie.Aventura y batallas memorables, amistad, tragedia, sacrificio y buen humor, en fin, las recomiendo ampliamente a cualquier lector de novelas de aventura y novelas de ciencia ficción. Bien escritas. En algunas revisiones muy poco favorables encuentro críticas y comentarios repetidos con las “review” de otras obras de ciencia ficción de gran éxito; yo no he podido encontrar las características negativas de las que hablan.
