I wanted to like this book. Sadly, there were too many reasons not to, and although I mostly enjoyed the other books in the series, this one was a real disappointment. In all fairness, maybe it's just because I picked this one up years after reading the previous one, so I was a little out of touc...
Immortal war was okay book. I think the ending made you more interested in the series then the last few books. I almost wanted more books in this series or a better epilogue. I also thought his book was kind of random at times. I think that too many characters were killed or turned into vampires....
This fantasy, futuristic series by Justin Somper truly surprised me. Students in my Grade 6 LA class begged me to read it last year, and I cringed internally, as neither vampires nor pirates have ever interested me. However, I tried the first book, since it was enjoyed so much by some of my reade...
This was one of my last choices to read from the NETBA list as it is not really my genre and it didn't really appeal to me. I found after reading the first few chapters that I was pleased to be proven wrong and also very reluctant to put it down for any length of time because it was so good! I ...
Vampirates est un livre dont je me suis retrouvée "propriétaire temporaire" il y à maintenant 2 ans. On me promettait une bonne lecture. Les seules chroniques de Livraddict sur ce livre me le promettait aussi, mais leurs auteurs se demandaient oh pourquoi, les éditions Hachette ont arrêté la publ...

asked the pirate in charge of the night watch. Just their luck, thought Connor, that Lieutenant Nosey, aka Jean de Cloux, was on duty.“It’s a private errand for Captain Wrathe,” said Bart confidently.“What kind of errand?” De Cloux was immediately suspicious.“If we told you that, it wouldn’t be p...
Really good. Well, he reflects, as he paddles through the water, he has certainly had time to practice. Most nights, he and the captain find themselves on a beach somewhere along the coast. They make shelter there for a day or two, then move on somewhere new. They always keep to the coast. The ca...
The Typhon charted its course through the ocean, sleek and confident as a killer whale. On deck, the pirates of the night watch performed their duties with time-honored precision. Belowdecks, their crewmates variously rested, ate, relaxed, and prepared for the business of the next day. The Typhon...
As Grace and Johnny made their way down to the lowest level of the ship, they didn't pass a single soul."We made it!" Grace said, passing her lantern to Johnny and trying the first of the keys on Lola's chain in the cellar door. It was too much to hope that she'd pick the right key the first time...
said Bart with a grin. “Two whole days and two whole nights!” Jez beamed. Together, the young pirates cried, “Shore leave!” before high-fiving each other, low-fiving each other, and whooping. Their friend Connor Tempest shook...
