2 States: The Story Of My Marriage (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
The book overall is a good read(no pun intended).The author does good at developing the main character and the story revolves mainly around him.what disappointed/pissed me was 2 reason:Ananya is given less importance almost to a level where i started to think she dint give a F abt the relationship & during the Goa Act she turns up a complete bitch mode again showing she dint care abt the relationship-which is the base of the storythe boys father- he is portrayed as the biggest A-hole all along the story.Then he also takes a complete 180 turn which doesnt sync with his character or doesnt give a good reason to support the changethese two reasons annoyed me and kept me away from enjoying it,But apart from it the book has many fun parts and i did enjoy the book. This was my third book by Chetan Bhagat. Actually, the one think I like about this author is his way of telling. When others try to include many buzz words to impress the juries and to showcase their vocabulary skills, Chetan keeps it simple. I think when an author writes something, it should connect with the readers. The author had made it a core mantra. We actually find ourselves fully involved while reading his stories and this one proved no less. If you ask me, I would give 4 stars.
