It had only been two days since leaving the picture with Father Raphael, but she wanted to rush back there to see if he’d found out anything yet. She had no phone for him to contact her with, but she could’ve at least asked him for his phone number and called him from the diner. In between serving customers she looked in the phone book for the number to Saint Adira’s. The only number that showed was to a prayer line. She called the number during her break. “Hi, this message is for Father Raphael. We met the other night and I left a picture with you. If you find anything, you can reach me at Jerry’s Diner on Twenty-third and West. Ask for Cass. Thanks again.” She hung, up feeling a little stir-crazy. She needed a distraction. Her persistent would-be suitor Ari hadn’t come by either. Sometimes he would be gone for a couple of days. The last time, he was gone for almost a month. Not that she was keeping track of him comings and goings.
