This book was downright fun! A bit of a riff on Dan Brown, but Cat Montgomery is much more fun than Robert Langdon for sure.Cat steals for a living, and she is held in high esteem because she is good at it. Question is, she is personally seeking redemption, however, that might never come. She's good....even her mother says that. Her mother is a piece of work, trying to reconcile what Cat does with what she sees on TV....with bumbling results.A lot of fun? Read it and see. And while you're doing that, I'm looking for the ust published sequel Cat Montgomery is a thief—a jewel thief who steals on assignment for an agency. Even though she loves her job, she’s conflicted because she believes she caused the death of her sister. When Cat is approached to steal a missing Faberge egg, she accepts the assignment. more to return the egg to its rightful owners than for the money. I enjoyed this book because not only was Cat an interesting and highly skilled thief (and I love a good heist), but other major characters were also strong women. This has “Soon to made into a major motion picture” written all over it.
What do You think about A Beautiful Heist (2013)?
cat's story is interesting and well written... definitely reading more!
