My first read of a Coffeehouse Mystery....but most definitely not my last! I now want to go back to the beginning and read the entire series.I'm a huge fan of cozy mysteries, and if this book is any indication, this series will not disappoint. The core group of characters have varied personalities, and yet they all seem to fit together into a "family" group. The writing is well done, the plot is easy to follow and realistic, and the mystery kept me guessing throughout the book. What a great cozy novel. The author know New York City and brings it to the reader. You can feel the crowds surrounding you and see the sites vicariously through her words. The characters are so unique and consistent - they are people you'd instantly recognize and want to know from her descriptions. The characters seem especially real. Clare Cosi is someone you can admire - her love for her work, cooking, family and co-workers is center stage in Ms. Coyle's novels.Plus there are fantastic recipes included - who could ask for more.If you like cozies at all, be sure to try this series. I think you'll be delighted.
What do You think about A Brew To A Kill (2012)?
This was one of the better storylines in this series, very entertaining read.
