A Bride For Tom (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This was a sweet, quick read. I thought Tom's clumsiness was a little over the top and the fact that Jessica jumped from one fiancé to another after knowing Tom for only a brief time was unrealistic, but considering the book was less than 100 pages, I understand the need for such expediency. No heavy petting gave this book a G rating, which can be good sometimes. I thought Jessica was a nice person who truly started out wanting to be Tom's friend and Tom's quirky clumsiness was endearing, if a little too much at times. I thought they worked well as a couple and while I didn't love this book, I liked it well enough. Especially since it was free. Well, I'm a fan! This was a freebie that I downloaded a while back and thought it was time I give it a go. I am so glad I did,This was such an infectious story! I read the whole thing (102 pages) in one sitting. This story was so cute! I loved the characters. Jessica was just adorable, and Tom, well he was just such a misfit you couldn't help but fall for him and hope that Jessica made the right choice. What a great ending this story had. I loved the kitchen scene where the mothers were fighting and the men were dumbfounded (as men usually are) and then enters Margaret with some news of her own (juicy gossip for book 2), the whole thing was hilarious!I can't wait to read the next one "A Husband for Margaret"
