This book is such a knock off mostly of FSOG but also has some similarities. to Bared to You. The is nothing original in this storybljne except for the characters name.. So manybof he same phrases. scenarios. plots. even the same places were used.. Having said all of that I am going to review the book on its own merit. The writing was weird. The author used many words out of context and used phrases that just didn't make any sense. The main characters Damien and Gabrielle are all over the place. one sentence they are arguing and the very next they are making up. It would give you whip lash while reading.. I did not find the way the story unfolded to be beleivable at all and it never drew me in and it never had me wanting to turn pages. The only reason I finished the book was to see if she ended it like FSOG and yep you guessed it.... it was close to another knock off.. Very disappointing and I'm surprisedbthe EL James hasn't done something about this book.. This book is better written, has better characters than most other books out in the same genre. Elle is a strong independent woman who has had crappy things happen to her in her past. Hunt is a damaged soul who also has crappy things happen in his past. Together they play off each others strengths and become stronger together. This book delves into the proper way a D/s relationship should be. Elle and Hunt are just learning who they are together, and I can not wait to see how they develop in book 2. :D
If I wanted to read Fifty Shades of Gray, I would read it again.
