I don't know why I Picked this book ..Maybe it was just something new & I love these type of books , even tho they are basically all the same , with different characters surroundings and what not , I just can't get enough though .Where as ceazia she has a good life but Vegas made it even better .. Even tho the end he ended up betraying her .This book jumped around a lot .. That's one of the negatives of it ... So much happened in it to where you just completely forget certain stuff .Vegas get locked up at one point and C ends up taking over his empire .. Risking her own life & freedom .. Why ? I don't know .Vegas gets locked up multiple times ...And towards the end C ends up convincing him to get out of the game and they end up opening business to supply their money that way ..The last time Vegas got locked up was because his distributed drugs to an undercover ... He got 2 years ..Even under the carpet he was still doing C wrong .., he ended up burning her with an disease .., & she thought it was this rasta man she was messing with ...It was all wrong. Vegas was fucking one of the gaurds In the prison & got caught up ...Vegas ended up having the rasta man killed and everything pointed back to C .. She ended up getting locked up for involvement with that && that's When I was hot & heated by the situation .. Like , the most messed up thing about it all is she actually didn't know anything about what happened ...Mikie came back in the picture (a jealous individual that envys C) And c finds out about vegas infidelity ways && realizes there's no way around it & kills him .. Mickie .. && the other broad that he was having a 3 some with .. Usually these type of books are good to me .. But this one had to many characters in and out ..But I do plan on reading some more of her books She is a wonderful artist !
This is one of my favorite books. I always re-read this book, at least once every year. I love Ceazia. This book is her beginning, and I feel like this book is the start of the turn of events, that turns her into the woman she is toward the end of this series. I use to like the character of Vegas (and I did love his character the first time I read it), but after reading it over a few times, I realized as much as he loved C, he was too much of a dog and a liar to ever be worth her time. Mickie was always a hater, and really should have never been trusted. My favorite line of the book, is when Vegas would tell C to catch her heart(I'm a sucker for the mushy stuff, lol). All and all, A Gangsters Girl is definitely one of those must read books, and a book a reader whose into urban lit should read!!
What do You think about A Gangster's Girl (2004)?
Here's a book I like to keep on stand by to pull out when I don't have any thing else to read.Ok! I'm exaggerating a bit,but I like the book and it's a great read. Here is why you should go,and read Chunichi book."A Gangster's girl deals with a lady by the name of Ceazia who grew up with the finer things in her life. She's smart, intellgent, and she use her body to get what she wants.Well this diva comes across a man by the name of Vegas who's younger than her,but can give her anything she wants. The thing is he one of the top drug dealers in town at first it was a problem until he start lavishing her with expensive gifts.Ceazia is falling hard for Vegas, and would do just about anything for him.

It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't good either. "A Gangster's Girl" is about Ceazia, a high maintenance female that must find a hustle to maintain her lifestyle (of the rich and shameless). That is until she meets Vegas - a young player in the game. And so the story begins. I found the book somewhat confusing in that time changed so much and so fast. The book begins with Ceazia at the age of 25 reflecting back on her life starting at age 21. After that there is no real concept of time. In some chapters weeks or months passed. Chapter 5 ended and chapter 6 begain a whole year later. What happened in that year?!? Character development was lacking. Way too many characters were introduced but not really developed - most of whom played little to no role. I never found myself rooting for, liking, or even hating Ceazia. At one point I really didn't care what happened to her. Despite all of this, I have to give Chunichi props for trying. She has potential and I hope it's made manifest in her next novel.
