I'm really enjoying this series, and this was yet another fun mystery. I loved the scenery change to Austin, though I did laugh at Abby and Candice driving back and forth to Dallas like it was nothing. That's 6 hours of driving with no traffic, and yet they would head there in the morning, hang out for hours, and still make it back to Austin in time to pick up Dutch from work at 5. Yeah, in what universe? I can't wait for the next book - Abby working for the FBI should provide a lot of entertainment! Lightweight but fun to read and fast moving. I wonder where Victoria Laurie gets her details about how the FBI works. I know where she gets her details about psychics--she is herself a professional psychic. In this story, Abby is hired by the FBI as a civilian profiler, assigned along with FBI boyfriend Dutch to a group working on cold case files. She also is supposed to give them some lectures about developing their intuitive senses, which was quite interesting. She talks with them about developing a personal language to help them get a handle on their gut feelings. Of course, she has to convince them that her psychic sense is the real deal before they will listen to her or act on her insights. She gets into several scrapes, goes freelance with her Private Eye buddy Candice to track down some clues, and races from one case to another. Along with solving cold cases, she is trying to keep the tumultuous relationship between Candice and Abby's FBI boss from crash and burning. Enjoyable, non-demanding, light reading.
