This is the introduction to a new series by Siobhan Muir. It was a fast, fun read, introducing the reader to Muir's writing style which I found to be polished. The story premise was good--what drew me in. The world building was well done. The characters were interesting. The erotica was on the scorching end of the heat scale and took up a fair amount of the novella. The author indicates in the acknowledgements that she offers this book for free as a way to let readers who are new to her give her work a try. I'd say mission accomplished. This book is like an amuse-bouche - not enough to really tuck into, but definitely enough to give you the overall flavor and style. I loved the idea of her hell-hound shifter, and the love scene was nice and spicy. The story didn't wow me, but it definitely held my attention.
