This book continues the romance between Alex and Lexi. They are a very captivating couple. The emotions between these two, will go from the highest of highs, to the lowest of lows.I was pleasantly surprised to have Riccardo reappear, as he is my one of my favorites. The time with him is very short, so the readers do not get a real sense of this wonderful, loving, very attractive man, or should I say, “Demi-God”, as that is how Lexi referred to him in the Prequel. This book is certainly not a journey for the weak of heart. The scenes in Australia are disturbing. My heart ached from Lexi and Alex. As for Lexi’s relationship with her parents and brother, I think the author took this storyline too far, to the point that I wasn’t convinced her family would actually treat her so negatively. I also felt this book had one too many bedroom scenes and used too much vulgar language. This is such a compelling series that the story just did not need that many “between the sheets” settings and to have over-use the F-word. I can't put into words how much I love this series...after reading A Twist of Fate, Alex and Lexi never left me. I tried to ignore their pull for a few days but eventually gave in and boy am I glad I did. I fell further in love with Alex. Who is strong, gorgeous, passionate, witty and loving.. Lexi I still want her as my friend, she's feisty, honest, sexy and emotionally strong. The lead characters are supported beautifully by the other characters in the book, all of whom I adore (except Marcy, that girl needs her hair extensions ripped out!) I love everything about this book. It has passion, fun, banter, lol and OMG moments, friendship and plenty of hot mamma sauce....another 5 star read for me....ok I'm off for my next Alex fix!!
