This story has all the beginnings of a great series and there are a lot of interesting little witchcraft tidbits. Salem, an old house, family legacy of secrets and a grudge that goes back to the Salem Witch Trials. The main characters are in high school with all the usual problems like boys, tests, teachers, and bullying. Add in evil Samuel Parrish trying to kill your family while holding your hottie boyfriend hostage and you have "A Marked Past". Worth the time. A MARKED PAST is a clever and exciting read. It is fabulous storytelling, with romance, some mysterious moments and a cast of delightful characters...a real winner. Always a pleasure to read a book that can leave you wanting more. This book will stay with me for a long while that is how good it is, I can't wait for more from Leslie Deaton.I recieved this book through Read It & Reap from the author Leslie Deaton for an honest review.
