This book I found in the lobby of my apartment. I needed something small to fit into my purse yesterday while riding Bart. While I believe it is probably in the romance department of books, one I stay away from. It was still a quick fun read and not too corny. It was fun to read how two feuding families children were able to get around the archaic traditions of their times to have a chance to get married and save their families faces! 4.5 STARS!!!! I FUCKING LOVED this book, and considering its length (eight? nine chapters?) and my general recalcitrance towards books that short, this is a STATEMENT. I LOVED this book. shit. the first chapter was a little so-so for me, but then chapter 2 happened and! i died! The thing most clearly in this book's favour is how well it manages this story - it's one of the rare novellas that wouldn't have worked as well longer, and so - as it stands - it gives exactly what you need.this was my first Balogh book, and I was fucking charmed. spent the two hours reading this with a goofy grin on my face. the dynamics! the easy dialogue! the constant, easy affection between the kids and their parents, which I rarely see in historical romance. god, you guys. definitely trying more of her stuff.:D :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do You think about A Matter Of Class (2009)?
Very predictable and a fast read. A good one to take on a beach to pass the time.
