A Midnight Dance is in Lila DiPasqua's Firey Fairytales series and is based on the Cinderella story - one of my favorite fairy tales. Sabine has a crush on her Dark Prince since her youth, but is disalusioned when her family loses everything and blames it on his family. Her family loses all, her father dies and her twin sister becomes a maid and later dies in a fire. Her little band of theatre people come up with a plan for Sabine to go under cover to steal cases of silver from Jules (her Dark Prince). It is a fun, sexy, very steamy firey tale that you will enjoy and not want to put down. I expected this book to have a Cinderella type of plot but it didn't. It was an original story, nothing to swoon about but very entertaining, well done with a lot of action. I'll read more from this author.HERO is a Rogue, a former duke, determined, sour, intensely focused on recovering his family state and prestige, for which he needs a lot of money that he's currently earning by illegal means. When he's seduced and duped by a woman intent on saving her family from going to debtors jail by stealing from him, he vows to find her and make her pay.SCENES/CONTENT: few/steamyGENRE/TONE: historical/dramaLENGHT: 362 pages
